Itinerary of 4 days trip with Visit Desert :

  • Day 1 : Tanger – Chefchaouen – Fez

The route 4 days from Tangier to the Marrakech Desert departure from Tangier. During the first day of your trip we will not meet you at the port or airport and drive through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains until we reach Chefchaouan one of the stunning villages at the foot of the Rif medina mountains Chefchaouen had a Spanish style plaza surrounded by many arts and crafts funky shops, roof – the best restaurants and cafes, where you will have lunch before continuing our way to Fez, where we will spend the night in a Riad.

  • Day 2 : Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

Breakfast and greetings south of Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the way we will stop in the cedar forests to see the Barbarian apes in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent gorges of Ziz carved into volcanic rock. You will see views of the Middle Plateau – Atlas and the landscape changes to reveal desert tracks as you approach the town of Errachidia. After lunch we will continue our journey through the Ziz Valley towards Erfoud , Rissani and Merzouga . After a mint tea, we will leave our luggage in a safe room and then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa . The camel ride takes about an hour and a half from the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets and cushions. After dinner, we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars.

  • Day 3 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – The Dades Gorges

We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes and then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After refreshing and breakfast we will depart for Tinghir and Todra Gorges and finally arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.

  • Day 4 : Dades Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast we will drive through the Dades valley to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The journey through the Dades Valley, the path of the thousand kasbahs, offers numerous opportunities to take photographs. We will visit the valley of the roses and the village of Skoura, and then continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou . After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the port of Tizi Ntichka majestic, reaching an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will make a stop to enjoy the breathtaking views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech and if the route ends 4 days from Tangier to the Marrakech Desert and our service ends.
