5 Days Tour Itinerary From Fez to Marrakech via Merzouga Desert :

• Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we will depart to Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can leave aside to feed the monkeys. We will continue Midelt where we will have lunch. then we will follow the river Ziz through the valley and stop seeing the gorges of Ziz on the way to Merzouga. Fes Marrakech desert 5 day tour

• Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

Today we will explore the desert region and the wonder that is the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes, where you will have the opportunity to see the nomadic path of life and the amazing contrasts of the changing desert. We will visit the “black village” of KHAMLIA to see the Gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the afternoon, we will ride the camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the camp in the desert. We will have a traditional tajine dinner, delicious mint tea drinks, listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and crescent moon in the breathtaking Sahara desert.

• Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Todra

After breakfast, camel ride back to the hotel on the dune line for a quick shower. We leave the Sahara desert dunes of Erg Chebbi, an off-road drive through the hamada (black desert) to reach the town of Rissani Sahara, optional visit of the local animation market. Afterwards, we head north towards Erfoud which is known for fossils, here we can stop visiting a fossil workshop before continuing with the impressive Todra canyons, known for rock climbing, where we can walk before we check into the hotel, dinner and overnight.

• Day 4: Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Breakfast at the hotel, we start our journey along the 1,000 thousand kasbahs road, as there are huge kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of those old fortified houses are restored but unfortunately many of them are ruins. We pass through the Dades valley and reach the mountainous area through an off-road track, where many Berber villages and nomads living in caves, here we will have the opportunity to visit one of these families and take a look at their daily lives and their main activity of caring for the flocks of sheep goats. We will be impressed by the landscapes of the pink valley before we reach palm Skoura. 45km further, we arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

• Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast we will visit the Kasbah Taourirt before leaving for Ait Ben Haddou to visit the World Heritage site. We will continue with the visit to the traditional Berber High Atlas locality of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch at a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the port of Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech. and the end of Tour 5 Days From Fez to Marrakech via Merzouga Desert.
